For the fourth year, the bike advocacy group is hosting New Belgium Brewing’s Clips Film & Beer Tour, featuring short films projected on an inflatable outdoor screen and up to 18 beers available for sampling. Entry to the Sept. 26 event in Marion Square is free, but beer will be sold through a token system.
“Everyone will tell you that this event is lots of fun,” organizer Pat Sullivan says.
According to Sullivan, Charleston Moves is supplying a five-minute film about its work to make the city a bike-and-ped-friendlier community. In addition to the films and beer, the evening will include a bike raffle benefiting the organization.
“Charleston Moves will have our own tent where we will be giving out bike safety information and bumper stickers with our new logo on it,” Sullivan says. “We’ll also have blinky lights for your bike.”
The event runs from 7 p.m.-10 p.m., and the film screening starts after sunset: Sullivan suggests bringing a blanket or chair. Charleston Moves is offering secured parking for cyclists.
