Sean Brock Plans Casual Mexican Restaurant

Neighborhood Dining Group and Sean Brock, who next week will learn whether the James Beard Foundation considers him the nation’s best chef, are opening a Mexican restaurant alongside McCrady’s.

The restaurant is scheduled to open in late summer.

According to a release, “it will have a fun atmosphere, affordable menu and casual service.” No further details were available.

No wonder Brock has been practicing his micheladas, which made a spirited splash at Cook It Raw last fall.

  1. Enough already with all the Mexican restaurants. The good ones are few and far between. I personally, am sick and tired of going into almost ANY restaurant and seeing nacho this and taco that. You think Sean Brock with all of his travels in the culinary world, would come up with a more original idea.

  3. Well…..I’m looking forward to a try. I visit often to see my daughter, I’m a California visitor. I love Southern food… But often miss Mexican spice when I visit. Husk certainly got my attention last time I was in town. I will remain optimistic. See y’all soon.
