Hanna Raskin is the food writer and critic for the Post and Courier. She previously served as critic for the Seattle Weekly and the Dallas Observer, where her work was recognized by the Association of Food Journalists, Association of Alternative Newsweeklies, and the James Beard Foundation. Her work has appeared in publications including Garden & Gun, Southern Living, Cooking Light, Modern Farmer and Tasting Table. A food historian by training, she is a founding member of Foodways Texas and an active member of the Southern Foodways Alliance.

  3. Great article in today’s paper on restaurant week. I try and do the same when calculating if it is a good price. Thanks for educating all of us and perhaps because of this article, restaurants will make it a better deal.

  4. Very funny ditty about B&B, Hanna, but I do recommend you try the English edition of Bourbon & Blues. Drinks & Music might not allitterate as beautiful as “Drank & Klank”, however learning Dutch is not an easy task. Witness thereof is my dear wife Becky. It took her 3 years to feel confident speaking Dutch and a year later she was reading novels like Umberto Eco’s Name of the Rose in DUTCH.

    She now even edits my Dutch manuscripts, 8 years further up on the road. Cheers, Hans
