Kitchen 208 is celebrating its birthday with quinoa, as one does these days.
The lower King Street restaurant is turning one on June 6, and is marking the occasion with $6 entrees. From 7 a.m.-11 a.m., the featured entrée is a bacon and egg sandwich. And from 11 a.m.-3 p.m., six bucks buys a quinoa salad with vegetables and feta cheese. The sandwich usually sells for $7, while the salad costs $8. According to a press release, Kitchen 208 isn’t downsizing portions on deal day.
Both the breakfast and lunch specials will be served with a mini-cupcake. Continue reading

A dining discount program available to PURE Theater full-season subscribers is returning for an encore performance.
After a successful debut run last season, the Patron Dining Program is again being listed among the benefits offered to theatergoers who purchase the $200, six-ticket flex package. Participants are eligible for deals on the same nights they attend shows: According to the program’s developer, board member Terry Fox, the deals “differ by establishment, and range from 25 percent discounts on meal and drink to specialty cocktail and appetizer combos.” Continue reading
