Wing Chain Touting 675 Flavor Combos Reaches Mt. Pleasant

1482910_385189998283234_1639696660_nPerhaps hoping to lure a few customers away from their favorite chicken joints before the Super Bowl, East Coast Wings & Grill next Tuesday is celebrating the grand opening of its first Charleston area location.

The North Carolina-based chain’s 26th store is located in Mount Pleasant Towne Center, 1909 Highway 17 North. The restaurant’s marking its local debut with free desserts for first responders and chicken tenders priced at $1.49 apiece (Pre-saucing: The flavor fee is 65 cents.)

Gullah Cuisine Adds a Sports Bar

Taking advantage of the remaining football season, Gullah Cuisine this Saturday is celebrating the grand opening of its new sports bar.

The Mount Pleasant restaurant already had a bar, but recently remade it to emphasize spectating: According to staffer Terry Baxter, a new 40-inch television was recently installed behind the bar and another two screens are planned for the back wall.

Available bar snacks include wings and boiled shrimp, Baxter says.

Southern Season Touts Daily Deals

sscoffeeGourmet retailer Southern Season today announced its daily promotion schedule for its new Mt. Pleasant location, set to open on Thursday, Sept. 5.

From Monday, Sept. 9 through Thursday, Sept. 19, the store’s marking Mondays by serving up a free scone with the purchase of a large cup of coffee. On Tuesdays, orders placed by the end-of-day Monday will be delivered via courier to Charleston area addresses, free of charge. Wednesdays are free gift wrap days, and Thursday customers can get three deli sides for the price of two.

The grand opening celebration concludes with a Sunday, Sept. 22 bonanza featuring a Moon Pie-eating contest; a blindfolded jellybean flavor identification competition; a $10 lowcountry boil and a scavenger hunt for kids.
